Great Words of Christianity Romans 3: 23-25 If you have and understanding of a few key words, you have a fair grasp on the very essence of the Christian faith. Last week the subject was the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God - the first word - RIGHTEOUS. 1. God is RIGHTEOUS 2. He demands RIGHTEOUSNESS 3. God provides RIGHTEOUSNESS In verse 24: JUSTIFICATION. To acquit, pardon or forgive. GRACE Undeserved. Unearned. Unmerited. REDEMPTION To buy back ...the ransom paid for a slave or kidnapped person. The price of redemption - the blood of Jesus Christ. PROPITIATION The satisfaction or just payment. God must punish sin or violate His own justice or His own law.
