Jesus' Last Word to the Churches - Pergamos and Thyatira
Revelation: Know What's Next
In this message, Pastor Bill Monroe continues through Revelation chapter 2, examining Jesus’ words to the churches at Pergamos and Thyatira. Pergamos was a church living “where Satan’s seat is.” Though they held fast to Christ’s name, they tolerated false doctrine and moral compromise. Jesus warned that truth cannot coexist with corruption and called them to repentance, reminding them that He would confront compromise with the sword of His Word. Thyatira reveals an even deeper danger—tolerated false teaching that led to spiritual corruption and immorality. While Jesus commended their works, charity, service, faith, and patience, He rebuked their failure to confront error. Yet even in judgment, Christ extended promises to the overcomers, calling them to hold fast until He comes. These words are practical, personal, and prophetic—revealing Christ’s expectations for His churches throughout the church age and calling believers to discernment, faithfulness, and obedience.
