–8 In Revelation chapter 6 the Lamb opens the first four seals of the scroll, and John sees four riders that represent forces that will sweep across the earth during the beginning of the Tribulation period. Pastor Bill Monroe explains the meaning of each rider: • The White Horse – The rise of the Antichrist and worldwide deception • The Red Horse – Global war as peace is taken from the earth • The Black Horse – Famine and economic collapse • The Pale Horse – Death spreading across the earth Though these events are sobering, the message of Revelation is not meant to frighten believers. The book is the revelation of Jesus Christ—the Lamb who died for our sins and the King who will ultimately bring righteousness to the earth.
