THE FOUR HORSEMEN

This week on the Baptist Temple Hour, Pastor Bill Monroe continues the Revelation series “Know What’s Next” with a message from Revelation chapter 6 on The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

When the Lamb begins opening the seals of the scroll, John is shown the beginning events of the Tribulation period. These four riders symbolize powerful world forces that will sweep across the earth: deception, war, famine, and death.

The rider on the white horse represents the rise of the Antichrist—a deceptive world leader who promises peace but leads the world into conflict. The red horse follows, bringing global war. The black horse represents famine and economic collapse. The pale horse represents widespread death through war, hunger, and disease.

But the book of Revelation is not primarily about the Antichrist or the disasters of the last days. As Pastor Monroe reminds us, it is “the revelation of Jesus Christ.” The same Lamb who opens the seals is the Savior who died for our sins and the coming King who will one day rule and reign.
